Monte Carlo!

My summer travel season has kicked off in high gear. The beginning of the month had me wining in dining in Monte Carlo, with the elite of the world, around the middle I had to travel to Orlando, Florida for a week, and as I wrap up the month, I'm working in Stamford, Connecticut. Not exactly the most consistent travel schedule, but this is what I've come to expect working as a security manager for a large financial firm.

While working in Monaco, I had the chance to visit and see some of the world's most luxourious hotels, yachts, and cars. It is utterly amazing to me that there are people out there who would consider this lifestyle to be "normal". I would like to find these people, buy them a drink, and say one thing "teach me". I can not be jealous of them, nor can I talk down on them, in fact, I feel proud that some people are able to get their act together to the point that they can live in such a style and manner that is foreign to most of us. Teach me!

This trip was not just to see how others live, but was in fact, a business trip. My company hosted an event in Monaco, and I was along as a member of the planning team. The chance to see good friends, dine on fine foods, and for just a few days, live the life of an International socialite, is one of the perks of the job.

After spending the first afternoon of the trip walking throught the palace and sampling coffee in several cafes, I eventually wound up at a fantastic Brew Pub, located at the head of the Yacht Basin. For any beer lover traveling to Monaco, this is a must! Most other restaurants and bars serve mass produced European lagers, but these guys make their own, on site. http://www.brasseriedemonaco.com/english/

I could go on forever about this trip, and I promist to follow up with more information later. I've decided that I've seen a good piece of the world, and have had some great experiences, some good, some bad, and I'd like to share them with friends, family, and anyone interested in hearing about me. Bare with me as this blog takes flight, and feel free to comment and post feedback at your discretion. We can only achieve perfection, by including the thoughts of others.
